How I Wish……..

As I watch the dawn of night,
And my heart feels heavy at the glimpse of twilight,
As my memory rewinds the time of daylight,
All those wishes unwind with all their ‘might’!

But Time changed and so did the wishes……..

How I wished once to see all day long the blossoming reds and yellows,
And dreamed if only I could have those wings like the birds,
How I wished to know how it might be if I were able to fly,
To see the sight of blue from above like a colourful butterfly!

But Time changed and so did the wishes……..

How I wished once to be free, wished to be stronger,
And proud I felt to dream the world resting on my shoulder,
Wished to free human from all the humiliation of this fight,
This hope of mutation kept me sleepless all through the night!

But Time changed and so did the wishes……….

howiwish.promoHow I wished once that I could be with the angel I saw that day,
And to breathe the same air as hers was my only fervent pray,
How I wished to touch her body with these hands, touch her soul with this mind,
Oh how the thought transformed my heartbeat into a thousand stallions running wild!

But Time changed and so did the wishes………..

How I wished once that the little one will follow my footsteps in his life,
And finish the journey that I began, the journey in search of true life,
How I wished to hear my own heart-beat in his every stride,
He would become the ‘Atlas’ I couldn’t be, that would be my pride!

But Time changed and so did the wishes………..

How I wished once that I could stop him from going to the final frontier,
And could stop, in honour of him, my eyes from bathing in this tear.
How I wished not to let my angel go to the place of her eternal right,
Oh my heart still burns in the flame she burnt before my sight!

But Time changed and so did the wishes……….

How I wish now that I could soon wake up from this dream,
And the fog will vanish, they’ll return to me in shining beam,
Or How I wish now that I could turn to dust,
And the winds will carry me to them, this I trust!
